Haiti...6 months later

Hello there...

without a doubt you have heard about the earthquake in Haiti.

Sadly, after only 6 months, the problems down there have slipped from my mind.

I forgot.

Yesterday my Dad started talking about GLA, an orphanage in Haiti. Then I recieved an email from World Vision talking about Haiti.

I realize now that it was because I have forgotten to pray.

The Lord reminded me to pray, and I am so grateful.

World Vision has a few notes to share with people about the amazing progress that is being made down in Haiti, and how we can continue to pray and support them as they recover from this and prepare for the hurricane season.

Click here to read the article.

and praise God for the work still being done in Haiti!

Summer Days

On days when the heat index is over 100,

the humidity over 75,

and the temperature over 90,

I think Christmas music is just the right thing to play.

Why?

Well, who doesn’t like Christmas music?

and anyway, it makes people (me included) smile in spite of the heat.

helps us remember that a day not too long off we’ll be remembering this day with envy, as it will undoubtedly be colder than cold in an all too few short months.

on days like today, I am very grateful for the blessing of air conditioning.

and in a few months, I will again be very grateful-

for the furnace.
