Birds, Birds, Birds

"If you could be any song bird, what would you be?"
My sister Lizzy May just asked me that. I'm not sure. If I could be any songbird, I would have to say that I would want to be a Chickadee. They are the friendliest songbird, so that was what I would be.
Then again, what about a House Wren? They can yell, be noisy, and everyone just smiles and says, "Isn't that the sweetest thing?"
The Nuthatch is what my mom would be. She likes that they are odd, that they climb trees upside-down.
Mary Joy, she wants to be a House Wren. (Those of you who know her understand this :) Kidding! I love you, Mary!)
I would most definitely not want to be a Blue Jay. Yish. Whoever likes to be a bully but sound nice could be a Jay!
See Ya...

Flowers

I really really like these pictures of the flowers. I took them last year about this time. I really like how the shadows look. I took these with my dad's camera, and his really picks up the shadows and color.
God Bless!

-20 degrees. Wow.

Well, here is the picture of the thermometer at -20 degrees that I found this afternoon. It's hard to even remember how cold that was. Brrrr. I do believe that this was the coldest winter I can remember. Brrrrrr!
See Ya.

Sewing Today

I love love love to sew and always will.
A few months ago, my Mamo graciously purchased an older sewing machine that had never been out of its box. I was thrilled. I am so so so thankful to have my own machine.
My sisters like to sew on our little Janome. It's perfect for them because it doesn't go very fast even when you push the pedal the whole way down and doesn't have many buttons or whistles.
My NASCAR machine goes very fast, which is really nice. I also know how to work better with the older machines since they are what I learned on. Mine has a very similar make up to the one that my Mamo uses.
Here are a few pictures of some of the parts of my pretty machine.
See Ya!

"It is quite humid today, isn't it?"

Hello there to one and all.
I am just going to say one thing.
It is so humid today that while I was sitting in my wood chair, the arms were sticky.
When I was vacuuming the wood floors, the vacuum was sticking to the floor.
My stars, is it humid today!

It's HOT

Do any of you recall the day back in February (if I am remembering correctly), when we were all sitting inside at breakfast at, oh, 8:30 and our thermometers read -20 degrees F.? I do recall it, but not what it felt like since today's sweltering peak of 97 degrees F. where I am hit. We went grocery shopping, and while we were wheeling our cart out of the store to our car, the chocolate chips started to melt! We had only been outside for maybe 3 minutes! YIKES! Well, I took a picture of our thermometer when it read -20, but I can't find it. When, I do, I'll post it with today's thermometer next to it. It's hard to believe we had a 120 degree jump in 4 months. Have a great, sweltering day! Kaye Ann Silver

Untitled

Hello to one and all... I am really excited to be done with school for the year. My friend was commenting that we could meet if she ever finished her school! Well, we both did, so that was really cool. Another year is over! Next week is our church's VBS and I am really looking forward to it. I've been asked to sing in the band, so that will be a lot of fun to see all the kids singing along. My sister L is counting down to when she gets to go to camp. I am really excited too. It should be totally amazing to see God work in the kids we will be with. I can hardly wait to see how He's going to use me that week. One song that I really like is Hero by Jars of Clay. Look it up on iTunes or YouTube to hear it. It is really cool and makes you want to praise God that He is the only one who can save us from ourselves and our fears. "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son the whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. For God didn't send His Son into the world, but to save the world." John 3:16-17. I pray that your summer will be as exciting as mine is! Kaye Ann Silver "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord. "Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future." ~Jeremiah 29:11

What A Wonderful Day

Hello hello hello......
I am going to go to CAMP THIS WEEKEND AND I AM BUSTING TO GET THERE!
I am starting to drive my sisters nuts with updates: "36 hours and I'll be at CAMP!" Oh well...they are just as excited about visting our grandparents.
So to pass time, I have cleaned my room, done school, mowed the lawn (I love to mow), played with my dog, and now I am here.
I just thought I would say that I am really really really really really really really excited.
Farewell.

Spring Break Week

Hello there all!
This week, as you could tell by the title, was spring break week. We had a blast. My dad took me and my sisters up to the Duluth area during an ice storm. We had a blast and really had a good prayer life while driving under some dipping power lines and sagging trees. Also, we had a project fair yesterday that went SO WELL!Granny and Grandpa, my friends from church, and Botso and J all came to cheer me and my sisters on. There were many cool projects and a lot of people. Thank you to everyone who showed up to support me and my sisters and everyone in our homeschool co-op.
I give my presentation on Split Rock Lighthouse to Granny and Grandpa and J.

Kira's Birthday

Okay...
I am a total dog lover. Those of you who know me know this to be true. After being away from my dog for a while, I'll "pet anything that's fuzzy... even a tree with soft leaves!" as Mamo said once after being away from her two gorgeous goldens for a week. She is a fellow dog lover.
I know that the bottom two pictures aren't recent, but she sure is cute.
This being said, I just thought that you all should know that it is our family's dog's 5th birthday tomorrow. My sister L's birthday is on the 13th and my sister J's birthday is April 29th. My goodness! Birthdays Galore!
I can hardly believe it, though. It seems like two days ago my mom walked in late carrying her and we all just loved her from that moment on.
I love my dog.

Awesome, Amzing, Life-Changing Movie

Hey there everybody! I was just on my email and I got this movie from youtube on it. I watched it with my mom and it was amazing. It shows the love of Christ and how sin tries to overcome a Christian. It is truly amazing. The video was filmed at a youth conference and it made me and my mom cry. The story it shows is so true. I ask that you take five minutes and watch this. You truly get a picture of how much Christ does for us. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cyheJ480LYA Our God is so good. He loves us more than you or I could ever imagine. Kaye Ann Silver
